PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This virtually live Clinical Conversation will overview current barriers in the treatment of DR and DME, focusing on the role that second-generation anti-VEGF agents have in addressing these barriers and improving outcomes. The rationale, efficacy, and safety of second-generation anti-VEGF agents will be covered, and case-based discussions will go into detail on how to apply these agents to patient care, including dosing strategies, appropriate patient selection, and treatment optimization.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This initiative is designed to meet the educational needs of retina specialists and comprehensive ophthalmologists involved in the management of patients with retinal disease.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Evaluate the latest evidence with second-generation anti-VEGF agents for DR and DME, as well as how their efficacy, safety, and durability address current barriers to care and reduces treatment burden
- Design individualized treatment strategies that incorporate patient factors and current real-world and clinical trial data on efficacy and safety of second-generation agents to minimize treatment burden and optimize visual outcomes for patients with DR and DME
